The Role 

Symtec is seeking a Business Development Representative (BDR) to support continued company growth. This role is focused on prospecting, outbound outreach, and setting qualified first-time appointments (FTAs) for the sales team within target markets. 

You’ll play a critical role at the front end of the sales process, working closely with sales leadership to build pipeline and open doors to long-term client relationships. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys outbound activity, values structure and coaching, and wants to grow within a collaborative sales environment. 


Responsibilities 

  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound prospecting 
  • Make outbound calls and conduct follow-up 
  • Set qualified first-time appointments (FTAs) for the sales team 
  • Research and engage prospective clients within assigned markets 
  • Maintain accurate activity tracking and notes within GlassHive CRM 
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to improve messaging and outreach strategy 
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly activity goals 

Requirements 

  • Prior experience in outbound sales, business development, or appointment setting preferred 
  • Comfort making a high volume of outbound calls 
  • Strong communication skills and professional phone presence 
  • Organized, accountable, and receptive to coaching 
  • Ability to work on-site and collaborate closely with a small team 
  • Familiarity with CRM tools is a plus 


Compensation & Benefits 

  • Base Salary: $60,000–$80,000 plus commission 
  • Company-provided phone with unlimited talk, text, and data
