The Role 

Hamilton Business Technologies is seeking a Business Development Representative to support continued market expansion. This role focuses on generating new opportunities by identifying prospective clients, initiating outreach, and securing first-time appointments with qualified decision-makers. 

You will focus on prospecting activities including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and networking to build relationships and create new opportunities for the sales team. The BDR partners closely with Account Executives, sitting in on discovery conversations and helping ensure prospects move smoothly through the early stages of the sales process. 

Sales at Hamilton is team-oriented, with regular collaboration, coaching, and alignment to ensure consistency in approach and strong client outcomes. 


This role is well suited for a motivated individual who enjoys prospecting, building relationships, and creating opportunities within a stable, growing organization.

 

Responsibilities 

  • Identify and prospect potential clients  
  • Generate first-time appointments (FTAs) through outbound prospecting, referrals, and networking 
  • Conduct outreach via phone, email, and LinkedIn to engage prospective clients 
  • Qualify prospects and schedule discovery meetings for Account Executives 
  • Participate in early discovery conversations to support opportunity development 
  • Maintain accurate outreach activity, pipeline notes, and prospect data within the CRM 
  • Collaborate with sales and technical teams to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities 
  • Consistently meet or exceed outreach and appointment-setting activity goals 


Requirements 

  • Experience in B2B sales, lead generation, or customer-facing roles preferred 
  • Strong prospecting skills including cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn engagement, and networking 
  • Comfort initiating conversations with business owners and decision-makers 
  • Organized, self-motivated, and accountable to performance metrics 
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating across teams 
  • Experience using CRM tools to manage outreach activity and pipeline 



Compensation & Benefits 

  • Base Salary: $55,000–$70,000 with commission tied to opportunity creation and qualified meetings 
  • Regular sales collaboration, coaching, and team development
