Location: Remote within Europe only

Employment Type: Full-time

About the Opportunity

Principled Careers is partnering with a mission-driven EdTech company that's transforming how sciences are taught and learned across the globe. This team is redefining educational equity through technology that adapts to students’ individual needs and empowers teachers to make informed, data-driven decisions.

This is a React specialist role, suited to an engineer who understands React as an engineering discipline.

You’ll join a cross-functional product team working on complex, interactive web and mobile applications, where correctness, performance, and long-term maintainability matter. The work goes well beyond static pages or CRUD interfaces and involves deep reasoning about UI state, rendering behaviour, and user interaction flows.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design and build highly interactive UI experiences used by learners globally
  • Work closely with product managers and designers during discovery and experimentation
  • Reason deeply about React rendering, state management, and performance
  • Collaborate with engineers to maintain a high-quality, long-lived frontend codebase
  • Solve challenging UI problems creatively and rigorously
  • Take ownership of features from concept through to production
  • Contribute to improving frontend patterns, standards, and practices

What You Bring

Strong software engineering fundamentals

  • Deep experience with React in production environments
  • Strong understanding of modern JavaScript (closures, async behaviour, event loop)
  • Experience building complex, interactive UIs rather than simple content-driven sites
  • Experience working on large-scale or long-lived web applications
  • Clear, effective communication and collaboration skills
  • A strong interest in quality, design, and user experience
  • Industry experience building web-based products

Why Join?

Flexible Work: Remote-first team with support for home office setup

Supportive Culture: Continuous learning, regular team knowledge-sharing, and professional development opportunities

Inclusive Values: Commitment to equity, diversity, and creating inclusive learning environments
