We believe technology should be a force for liberation, and this role is built on that belief.

We are a US-based nonprofit working to mobilize the tech industry for Palestinian freedom and justice. We support early-stage leaders building toward justice and equality. We also cultivate advocates for Palestinian liberation, both inside the tech world and beyond it. In a short time we have grown into an established organization, with a full-time paid team, a large and committed volunteer base, an incubator portfolio of dozens of projects, and a growing membership community.

We are now seeking a new CEO to lead the organization into its next chapter. We are evolving: alongside supporting external projects, we are starting to build initiatives of our own. We are working toward a moment when the tech industry engages with Palestinian issues in ways it never has before.

That calls for a new kind of CEO. Our foundations are solid. We have a strong reputation with partners, a recognized place within the movement, and a large community with deep relationships. What we need now is the leader to take us to the next level.

What You’ll Do

You will own and run our US-based 501(c)(3). Day to day, that means:

  • Owning the organization’s strategy and direction
  • Leading and continuing to build a team of volunteers and full-time staff
  • Representing the organization in Silicon Valley as its primary relationship builder
  • Building and managing partnerships with tech companies, investors, and movement partners
  • Leading and growing our membership base
  • Overseeing operations, compliance, finance, and governance
  • Driving fundraising, most likely through relationships rather than traditional development channels
  • Building out international infrastructure and working closely with affiliated entities as they are established

Key Focus Areas

Silicon Valley Engagement: Your most important work will be relationship-driven. There is an opening in the tech industry that has not been fully used. Investors, founders, and technology companies are increasingly engaging with questions of ethics and justice, and we are positioned to be the organization they turn to on Palestine and related social justice issues. That requires someone who already has a seat at those tables and knows how to use it. This is quiet influence work as much as it is fundraising or partnership development.

Membership and Community: We are moving to a membership model, and you will own that transition. The goal is a thriving, engaged community of tech professionals who see the organization as the center of Palestinian solidarity in the industry. That means building something people want to belong to, and sustaining it.

Operations and Organizational Development: The organization is changing structurally. We are building resilient financial infrastructure beyond our US entity, our member and team model is evolving, and we are adding our own programs alongside the projects we have historically supported. You will build the systems and structures that let a lean, volunteer-powered organization run reliably and grow quickly.

Fundraising: You will build US fundraising capacity focused on the tech ecosystem: individual donors, angel investors, and institutional partners. The approach is relationship-first. Your network and the judgment to use it well matter more than traditional development experience.

What We’re Looking For

Values and Motivation

Palestinian solidarity is not new to you. You are already engaged, even if not publicly. In today’s tech climate, some of the most credible allies work quietly and deliberately, and that is welcome here. What matters is that your values are real and your commitment is demonstrated.

You are motivated by impact that is hard to measure and often several steps removed from your own actions. You understand that the movement is bigger than any single organization, and you lead with humility rather than ego.

Experience and Capabilities

  • Deep relationships in Silicon Valley: venture, investors, founders, angels
  • Existing engagement in the Palestinian solidarity movement in some form
  • Comfort running a nonprofit, or willingness to learn: operations, compliance, governance
  • Fundraising instincts built on relationships rather than traditional development pipelines

Working Style

We are volunteer-led, fast-moving, and still changing structurally. You don’t just tolerate ambiguity; you are comfortable with it. You are low-ego. You will work closely with our founder during a transition period and earn operational ownership over time through trust and sound judgment, while holding your own ground as that trust builds. If you need full clarity before you can move, this role is probably not the right fit.

Profiles We’re Considering

The right person is unlikely to fit the traditional nonprofit executive director profile. The common thread among the profiles below is Silicon Valley relationships, values alignment, and the ability to build trust and move people.

  • Tech founder, CEO, or operator: You have built companies or led organizations in the tech ecosystem and have the network to show for it. You understand how capital flows, how decisions get made, and how to open doors. You are done building for yourself and ready to build for something that matters.
  • Investor or former investor with aligned values: You are already in the rooms that matter. You understand how venture and angel capital moves and how to influence it. Your values are real and evidenced, not just adjacent.
  • Nonprofit or movement leader with real tech ties: This is less common but possible. You have led organizations in adjacent causes and built genuine relationships inside the tech industry, not just familiarity with it.

Location

This role is US-based, with a Bay Area presence or the ability to be there regularly, since Silicon Valley relationship work is hard to do from a distance. The candidate pool is small and values-driven, though, so we will consider strong candidates based elsewhere.

One caveat: because the role still centers on Palestinian solidarity in tech, people close to the movement may still be able to guess who you are. If you want it fully untraceable, I can make the cause more general (for example, “human rights and justice in the tech industry”). That would weaken the values filter, which is one of the posting’s core points.
