BI & Data Scientist

Level: Mid–Senior

Location: Europe (Remote)

Working Hours: Full-time

Reporting to: CEO

About the Role: We're hiring a data thinker for a hyper growth social media start up. They are building a social media platform and the decisions that shape it need to be grounded in data. You've worked in BI and data science before and you know how to turn raw data into insights that actually change what a team builds and prioritizes. You're as comfortable building dashboards for stakeholders as you are running models to understand user behavior. You're a self-starter who can build a data function from the ground up in a fast-moving startup environment.

What You'll Do

• Build and maintain dashboards and reporting infrastructure that give the team clear visibility into platform performance
• Analyze user behavior, engagement, and retention data to surface actionable insights
• Partner with product and engineering to define and track key metrics
• Develop models and experiments to inform growth and product decisions

What Success Looks Like

• Leadership has reliable, real-time visibility into the health of the platform
• Product and engineering decisions are consistently informed by data
• A scalable data infrastructure is in place that grows with the company

What You Are

• Experienced in both BI and data science, with a track record of delivering impact in a product environment
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and modern BI tools such as Looker, Tableau, or similar
• Someone who can communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
• Comfortable owning the entire data function independently in an early-stage environment

• Someone who only focuses on analysis without thinking about the infrastructure behind it
• Someone who produces insights that sit in a deck and never influence a decision
• Someone who needs a large data team around them to be productive
