BI Developer – Power BI (Credit Risk)

**Location:** Toronto – Hybrid (4 days onsite: downtown at 66 Wellington St W and Markham; flexible 5th day)

About the Opportunity

Our client, a leading Canadian financial institution, is expanding its Credit Risk analytics function and needs two hands-on BI Developers to design and build executive-facing dashboards and reporting solutions in Power BI. This is a delivery-focused role — you'll own dashboards end to end, from data modeling through polished visualization, working alongside risk managers and data teams in a fast-moving environment.

What You'll Do

- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports supporting Credit Risk portfolio monitoring and decision-making

- Build robust semantic data models and write performant DAX measures

- Translate business requirements from risk stakeholders into clear, intuitive visualizations

- Write SQL and Python to extract, transform, and validate data feeding the reporting layer

- Optimize report performance and enforce visualization best practices and standards

- Collaborate with data engineering and risk teams to ensure data quality and consistency

What We're Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience across the Power BI suite — data modeling, DAX, and report/dashboard development

- Demonstrated data visualization craft — you'll be asked to walk through **portfolio samples** of dashboards you've personally built

- Solid SQL skills; working proficiency in Python

- Experience in Credit Risk, or a closely related risk/banking analytics domain, strongly preferred

- Ability to work independently with business stakeholders and deliver iteratively

- Available to start immediately and work onsite 4 days per week (downtown Toronto + Markham)
