Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our beverage manufacturing operations. This role manages day-to-day accounting activities, ensures compliance with industry regulations, and provides financial insights that support production, operations, and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management

• Maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries in QuickBooks Online.
• Record all production, packaging, and distribution transactions in a timely manner.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and other financial accounts.

Payables & Receivables

• Process vendor invoices and payments; manage accounts payable for raw materials, packaging, and logistics.
• Track and follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely customer payments.

Payroll & Tax Compliance

• Process bi-weekly payroll, deductions, and required filings in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Prepare and file sales tax returns (multi-state as needed).
• Complete Federal Excise Tax (FET) filings and ensure compliance with TTB requirements.
• Manage COLA filings for beverage labels.

Month-End / Year-End Support

• Assist with closing activities, journal entries, cost accounting, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.

Operational Support

• Provide financial analysis for production runs, product launches, and cost optimization.
• Support management with ad hoc financial insights and reporting.
• Collaborate with production, operations, and sales teams to align financial processes with industry requirements.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Excel, MS Office, and QuickBooks Online.
• Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and analytical ability.
