The Opportunity

TLC Construction Industries, Corp. is looking for experienced Roofing Mechanics who know how to work safely, follow direction, and contribute productively on active commercial roofing projects.

This is not primarily an entry-level laborer position. We are looking for roofers with practical field experience who understand roofing tools, materials, installation methods, and jobsite expectations.

Commercial roofing experience is preferred, but experienced roofers from other parts of the trade may also be considered if they have strong fundamentals and can quickly learn commercial low-slope systems.

How You Will Make an Impact

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial roofing and waterproofing systems.
• Follow Foreman and Project Manager instructions accurately.
• Work with commercial roofing membranes, insulation, flashing, fasteners, adhesives, waterproofing components, and related materials.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, roofing equipment, ladders, and lifts.
• Assist with tear-offs, roof preparation, insulation installation, membrane installation, flashing, repairs, and waterproofing work.
• Identify problems with materials, deck conditions, installation details, or jobsite safety and report them immediately.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
• Work productively with other crew members and communicate clearly throughout the day.
• Protect finished work and building interiors when weather or project conditions change.
• Follow company safety requirements and manufacturer installation instructions.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of professional roofing experience or closely related construction experience.
• Hands-on experience using roofing and construction tools.
• Ability to follow detailed field instructions and installation requirements.
• Ability to work safely at heights.
• Ability to lift and carry roofing materials and equipment required for the position.
• Comfortable working outdoors in South Florida conditions.
• Reliable attendance and ability to report to early-morning jobsite or shop start times.
• Willingness to travel for qualifying projects when required.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a roofing crew.
• Authorized to work in the United States in accordance with applicable employment-verification requirements.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of professional roofing experience.
• Commercial or industrial roofing experience.
• Experience with thermoplastic roofing, modified bitumen, built-up roofing, waterproofing, flashing, and low-slope commercial systems.
• Experience working on large commercial projects.
• OSHA, fall-protection, or lift-operation training.
• Manufacturer-specific roofing-system training.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Experience performing commercial roof repairs and service work.
