The Opportunity

Bainville Concrete Construction is looking for an experienced Concrete Finisher to join our growing field team. We complete residential, commercial, agricultural, and steel-building concrete projects throughout eastern Montana and western North Dakota.

We invest in modern equipment to make work safer, more efficient, and less physically demanding, including pumps, laser screeds, riders, skid loaders, backhoes, and other specialized equipment.

What You’ll Do

• Set and prepare concrete forms for slabs, flatwork, foundations, sidewalks, and other projects.
• Read job plans, measurements, elevations, and layout information.
• Prepare subgrade and reinforcement, including rebar placement.
• Assist with and execute concrete placement on pours of varying size.
• Screed, float, edge, trowel, and finish concrete to required specifications.
• Complete flatwork, stamped concrete, slabs, sidewalks, and occasional foundation work.
• Monitor elevations, drainage, slopes, and overall finish quality.
• Work safely around concrete pumps, laser screeds, riders, skid loaders, backhoes, and other equipment.
• Help keep projects organized, productive, and on schedule.
• Assist and mentor less-experienced crew members when appropriate.
• Perform additional construction work during slower concrete periods, including framing, drywall, doors, trim, and interior build-outs.
• Travel to regional projects when needed.

What We’re Looking For

• Hands-on concrete finishing experience.
• Experience setting forms and preparing concrete projects.
• Ability to read measurements, layouts, and job plans.
• Strong understanding of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
• Dependable work ethic and ability to work effectively with a small field team.
• Ability to work safely in outdoor construction environments.
• Willingness to perform physical construction work, including lifting, bending, kneeling, and working in changing weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the shop.

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years of concrete construction experience.
• Experience running or helping lead concrete jobs.
• Equipment operation experience.
• CDL.
• Experience with large slab pours.
• General carpentry, framing, remodeling, or steel-building interior experience.
