The Opportunity


Kingsbury Companies is seeking an experienced Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead complex infrastructure projects across heavy civil, water/wastewater, industrial, and renewable energy construction.


You will take ownership of projects from planning through closeout, managing schedules, budgets, field coordination, and client relationships while working closely with superintendents, engineers, estimating, and preconstruction teams.


This role is a mix of office and project-site work and offers the opportunity to lead high-impact projects while mentoring project staff in a culture that values integrity and promotes from within.


How You Will Make an Impact


  • Lead all phases of heavy civil and industrial projects from planning and execution through closeout, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Manage project financial performance through cost control, forecasting, budget tracking, and identification of financial variances.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, field personnel, engineers, and project stakeholders to maintain schedules and resolve construction challenges.
  • Develop and manage project schedules using Critical Path Method scheduling tools.
  • Partner with estimating and preconstruction teams to ensure seamless project handoffs and clear scope alignment.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders throughout project delivery.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support project delivery staff, including field personnel and engineers.
  • Maintain quality-control standards and enforce OSHA and company safety requirements.


Required Qualifications & Experience


  • Minimum of 5 years of project leadership experience within the heavy civil construction industry.
  • Proven track record of managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously from inception through closeout.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Advanced proficiency in construction management software such as Procore and CPM scheduling tools such as Primavera.
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control, financial forecasting, and complex subcontractor coordination.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% of working hours to regional project sites.
  • Valid Driver's License.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience


  • Approximately 7 years of related work experience in water/wastewater or renewable energy infrastructure.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (Project Management Professional), OSHA 30, or CCM (Certified Construction Manager).
  • Prior experience in performance management, including conducting staff evaluations and supporting career advancement.
