Residential Energy Auditor – Drive Sustainability and Performance for Premier Restoration Leader


Job Overview:

  • Company: CARE-Property Services, Inc.
  • Salary/Pay Rate: Total Compensation ~ $80,000 per year (Salaried plus job bonuses/commissions).
  • Location: Northern MD and Hanover, PA.
  • Job/Employment Type: Full Time (Exempt).
  • Project Scope: Residential and Multi-Family Energy Efficiency.
  • Mandatory Licences & Certifications: Valid Driver’s License, BPI EA Auditor Certification, BPI QCI Certification.


The Opportunity:

You will serve as an essential sustainability leader, driving home energy efficiency and educating consumers on smarter energy consumption. Working directly under the Regional Manager, this role grants you the freedom to manage full private and multi-family building audits without micromanagement. You will benefit from a high-earning commission structure where your technical competence and individual excellence are rewarded quickly.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Conduct comprehensive home energy audits and Quick Home Energy Check-ups (QHECs) in strict accordance with program standards.
  • Analyze residential energy usage patterns using advanced analytical and performance diagnostic tools.
  • Formulate detailed technical write-ups and reports outlining critical audit findings and performance gaps.
  • Develop clear work scopes, specifying exact energy conservation measures and material quantities to be installed.
  • Educate consumers and multi-family property clients on practical energy conservation methods and efficiency solutions.
  • Inspect completed weatherization projects to execute quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) benchmarks.
  • Manage client relations by confirming all scheduled site appointments within 24 hours of execution.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent level of education.
  • Deep technical understanding of residential energy use, program standards, and utility program requirements.
  • Strong computer literacy with proficiency in using laptops, MS Excel, Word, and email databases.
  • Outstanding communication skills required to effectively consult, educate, and present technical findings to clients.
  • Physical capacity to lift 20 pounds frequently and comfortably maneuver through tight home spaces (stooping, kneeling, squatting).
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and a clear background history.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Approximately 2 years of relevant experience in construction, residential energy usage, or utility programs.
  • Associate degree or equivalent professional field experience.
  • Active OSHA certification and BPI Multi-Family Certification.
  • Proven track record of identifying additional construction or property improvement opportunities during on-site evaluations.
