Commercial Journeyman Electrician (Levels I–III)-  for Kearney Electric

The Opportunity:

You will serve as a technical expert and field leader, driving the precise execution of commercial and industrial electrical installations. This role empowers you to guide assigned crews, ensure top-tier quality, and shape your trade career with a premier Arizona contractor. You will model craftsmanship, reinforce strict safety protocols, and directly impact major regional projects.


How You Will Make an Impact:

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in compliance with the NEC, project plans, and company standards.
  • Perform assigned electrical work independently or under the direction of a senior field leader, depending on experience level.
  • Lead and mentor apprentices, helpers, and lower-level journeymen when assigned based on position level and project needs.
  • Coordinate electrical installation activities with other trades to support project schedules and productivity.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, specifications, and work layouts appropriate to the assigned level.
  • Assist with or oversee tools, materials, equipment, and inventory required for assigned work.
  • Participate in or lead safety meetings while consistently following OSHA and company safety requirements.
  • Complete accurate field documentation, including daily reports, and material logs, as required.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 4 years of electrical field experience or active Journeyman License.
  • Valid driver's license with reliable transportation.
  • Extensive working knowledge of commercial and industrial wiring, conduit bending, and power distribution.
  • Ability to work outdoors year-round in extreme weather and lift up to 50 pounds regularly.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active First Aid/CPR certification.
  • Active OSHA 10 or 30 certification.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex power systems and industrial control configurations.
  • Valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated ability to lead crews of up to 8 employees while maintaining high output.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
