The Opportunity:
You will serve as a vital executive leader, directly managing the dual pillars of financial integrity and human resources for an established construction firm. This senior role grants you the autonomy to optimize accounting workflows and shape company culture while reporting directly to executive ownership. Your strategic oversight will safeguard assets and empower a dedicated team during a phase of strong regional growth.
How You Will Make an Impact:
- Manage comprehensive accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring precise processing of vendor invoices, client billings, and conditional lien waivers.
- Direct monthly bank draws, coordinate project financing documentation, and execute precise ledger reconciliations to optimize company cash flow.
- Analyze complex project cost reports and aggregate variance data against corporate budgets to deliver actionable financial insights to leadership.
- Oversee comprehensive HR compliance by updating the Employee Handbook and alignment strategies with evolving federal, state, and local labor laws.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment and onboarding life cycle, driving talent sourcing, contract generation, and initial equipment provisioning.
- Administer accurate weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried staff alongside complex commission and corporate profit-sharing structures.
- Drive the annual employee performance management cycle, resolving workplace relations, grievances, and professional development tracking.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience specializing in accounting, financial management, or corporate HR administration.
- Deep proficiency in construction financial workflows, including specialized job costing, WIP reporting, and percentage-of-completion accounting.
- Advanced expertise utilizing construction-focused accounting software platforms alongside highly advanced Excel data modeling capabilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related professional field.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrated background operating within a high-growth general contracting or construction environment.
- Proven history of designing and implementing rigorous internal financial control systems from the ground up.
