The Opportunity

Golden Touch Construction, Inc. is seeking an experienced Senior Lead Finish Carpenter & Residential Remodeling Site Supervisor to manage high-end residential renovations, custom cabinetry installs, and full frame-to-finish builds across Southern California.

In this hybrid working field leadership role, you will lead daily jobsite operations—executing precision finish carpentry (custom built-ins, architectural millwork, crown molding, door hardware) while supervising in-house carpentry crews and trade partners. Serving as the primary on-site supervisor for a premier design-build contractor with over 25 years of Southern California history, you will interpret architectural blueprints, manage material deliveries, and maintain rigorous quality standards. If you bring 5 or more years of residential lead carpenter experience, master-level finish woodworking skills, and a commitment to high-end craftsmanship, Golden Touch Construction provides top-tier hourly compensation ($30–$50+/hr), performance bonuses, and long-term career stability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working Field Leadership: Direct daily site operations for residential remodeling projects—leading in-house carpentry crews, delegating daily production tasks, and maintaining safety standards.
  • Master Finish Carpentry: Execute complex architectural millwork, custom cabinetry installations, built-in furniture, crown molding, wainscoting, casing, door sets, and structural framing modifications.
  • Blueprint & Design Interpretation: Read, interpret, and build directly from detailed architectural blueprints, interior design elevation drawings, structural details, and scope sheets.
  • Timeline & Material Coordination: Monitor daily jobsite progress, track material orders, audit delivery schedules, and manage project timelines to satisfy design-build delivery benchmarks.
  • Client & Architect Communication: Serve as the primary on-site client liaison—communicating progress updates, clarifying scope details with architects, and answering homeowner questions professionally.
  • Apprentice Training & Mentorship: Mentor junior carpenters and field assistants in advanced finish woodworking techniques, tool safety, and jobsite protection protocols.

What You Need to Succeed (Qualifications)

Required

  • Residential Lead Tenure: Minimum 5 years of verified experience as a Lead Carpenter, Cabinet Maker, or Site Supervisor in high-end residential remodeling or custom home building.
  • Master Finish Craftsmanship: Demonstrated expertise in high-end finish carpentry—including custom cabinetry, architectural millwork, trim packages, door installations, and fine woodworking.
  • Blueprint & Code Literacy: High proficiency in reading architectural plans, millwork shop drawings, and structural details with working knowledge of California Building Code (CBC) standards.
  • Leadership & Client Stewardship: Strong crew management skills with the ability to communicate professionally with homeowners, architects, and interior designers.
  • Mobility & Driver Credentials: Valid Driver License with reliable personal transportation to travel to assigned regional job sites across Southern California.

Preferred

  • Language Capabilities: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a strong plus.
  • Fabrication Background: Hands-on background in custom cabinet fabrication, shop millwork, or furniture making.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Competitive Hourly Base Pay: $30.00 to $50.00+ per hour, customized directly to finish carpentry mastery and site leadership experience.
  • Performance Upside: Direct eligibility for structured project performance bonuses and annual profit-sharing incentives.
  • Paid Time Off: Generous PTO allocations covering vacation, personal days, and paid company holidays.
  • Career Advancement: Direct tracks into Project Management and Senior Site Superintendence within a growing design-build firm.
  • Culture & Events: Team-building events, company celebrations, and a supportive family-owned work environment.
