Underground Site Utility Purchasing and Project Coordinator – Streamline Commercial Utility Operations

The Opportunity

You will play a vital operational role coordinating materials, logistics, and documentation across our commercial underground utility projects. Joining a financially secure, debt-free team with a 26-year track record of stability, you will bridge the gap between estimators, project managers, and field operations. How You Will Make an Impact

  • Procure materials for project start-ups and ongoing job sites by collaborating directly with estimators and project managers.
  • Acquire, organize, and submit all necessary material submittals and documentation for new utility installations.
  • Track heavy equipment locations and manage daily mobilization logistics across active DFW project sites.
  • Authorize purchase orders and reconcile subsequent material and equipment delivery invoices with high accuracy.
  • Manage purchase tracking within an automated PO database system to support clear cost accounting.
  • Prepare project reports and participate in weekly scheduling meetings to maintain smooth project delivery.
  • Process change order calculations and maintain complete, official project correspondence throughout the job lifecycle.


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in project coordination, purchasing, or operational support.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects concurrently, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines under pressure.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, specifically in reconciling purchase orders to vendor invoices and tracking job costs.
  • Native or professional fluency in English with strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including building spreadsheets and drafting formal correspondence.
  • Ability to work comfortably in an office setting with four-legged coworkers.


Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • Prior hands-on experience in underground wet utilities, plumbing, or commercial civil site construction.
  • Professional bilingual capabilities.
  • Familiarity with automated purchase order systems and database management tools.
