About the Role
As a Senior Manufacturing Quality Engineer, you will lead the development and continuous improvement of our quality systems. You’ll partner closely with engineering, operations, and manufacturing teams to drive performance, ensure compliance, and enable world‑class production outcomes.
This role is ideal for someone who loves precision measurement, understands how great machining is built and maintained, and enjoys influencing both engineering strategy and shop‑floor execution.
What You’ll Do
CMM & Metrology Excellence
- Develop, prove out, and optimize advanced CMM programs in PC‑DMIS.
- Build offline routines from CAD models and execute complex alignments, best‑fit analyses, and iterative measurement strategies.
- Define probing methods, feature constructions, and ASME Y14.5‑aligned reporting structures.
GD&T Leadership
- Champion ASME Y14.5 application, developing clear, manufacturable, and inspectable datum strategies.
- Collaborate across design, manufacturing engineering, and CNC programming to create robust prints, stack‑ups, and control plans.
Gage & Fixture Innovation
- Design and validate attribute and variable gages, custom nests, and fixtures.
- Work hands‑on with CAD tools and vendors to ensure high‑quality builds.
Process Optimization & Product Quality
- Own Control Plans, FMEAs, and FAI/PPAP submissions.
- Lead structured problem solving using 8D, A3, 5‑Why, and data‑driven analysis.
- Drive improvements in scrap, rework, and escape reduction through SPC, capability studies, and disciplined process monitoring.
Shop‑Floor Enablement
- Support CNC milling and turning operations with practical, real‑world inspection alignment.
- Coach operators and inspectors; translate complex metrology concepts into clear, applicable methods.
Who You Are
Experience & Credentials
- 10+ years in precision manufacturing, quality, or metrology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
- PC‑DMIS Level 3 capability with proven expertise in complex model‑based inspection.
- Advanced GD&T proficiency with real‑world tolerance analysis experience.
- Strong working knowledge of CNC machining processes and their inspection implications.
- Capability in gage design, including Gage R&R integration.
- Comfortable applying SPC and interfacing measurement data with dashboards or reporting systems.
- CAD/CAM familiarity (SolidWorks, NX, Mastercam).
- Industry‑specific product knowledge a bonus.
