They’re seeking a litigation-level Personal Injury Paralegal who understands the entire lifecycle of a case — not just intake, not just demands — but cradle-to-resolution ownership.

🔎 What You’ll Own
Full Case Lifecycle Management
- Independently manage motor vehicle accident (MVA), premises liability, and catastrophic injury cases
- Move files from retainer → discovery → litigation → settlement → disbursement
Discovery & Litigation Execution
- Draft and respond to Interrogatories, RFPs, and Admissions
- Identify missing records and proactively close discovery gaps
- Prepare Summons & Complaints
- File through eCourts
- Manage calendars for depositions, IMEs, and motion deadlines
- Support trial prep and exhibit organization
Medical & Treatment Coordination
- Review and summarize medical records
- Maintain communication with providers
- Strategically prepare files for demand or filing
Lien Resolution
- Handle Medicare, Medicaid, and private lien negotiations
- Protect and maximize client net recovery
✅ What You Bring
- Minimum 6+ months of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience
- Direct experience with NY Plaintiff PI procedures
- Strong understanding of:
- PIP / No-Fault framework
- Verbal threshold standards
- Advanced case management software proficiency (SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Needles, etc.)
- A proactive mindset — you anticipate next steps without being asked

Must-Have Experience:
- Minimum 6+ months of plaintiff-side personal injury experience
- Direct experience handling New York PI cases and procedures
- Experience managing litigation files through multiple stages of the case lifecycle
- Familiarity with discovery, medical records, and litigation support processes
Strong Preferences:
- Experience handling full file ownership from intake through settlement/disbursement
- Experience with SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Needles, or similar case management software
- Knowledge of New York No-Fault (PIP) claims and verbal threshold requirements
- Experience preparing discovery responses, e-filings, and trial support materials
- Experience with Medicare, Medicaid, and private lien resolution
Deal Breakers:
- No plaintiff personal injury experience
- No New York PI experience or procedural knowledge
- Only intake, pre-litigation, or demand-writing experience without litigation exposure
- No experience working with medical records or discovery
- No case management software experience
Score Cap Rules:
- No plaintiff personal injury experience: Maximum score 65
- No New York PI experience: Maximum score 70
- No litigation-stage experience (discovery, filings, depositions, trial prep): Maximum score 75
- No file ownership experience: Maximum score 75
- No experience with PIP / No-Fault matters: Maximum score 80
- No experience reviewing medical records or coordinating treatment documentation: Maximum score 80
- No experience with SmartAdvocate, Filevine, Needles, or similar systems: Maximum score 85
- No lien resolution exposure: Maximum score 85
