Channel Partner Manager

📍 Frisco, TX (Hybrid)


Our client, a rapidly growing financial services and advisory organization, is seeking a Channel Partner Manager to build and scale a referral and partnership network targeting small business owners.


This is a high-ownership role for someone who has successfully built partnerships from the ground up and enjoys creating opportunities through strategic relationships.


Responsibilities

  • Identify, recruit, and activate channel partners, including banks, payroll providers, insurance brokers, HR consultants, business advisors, and industry associations
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective partners
  • Negotiate referral and partnership agreements
  • Develop partner onboarding and enablement materials
  • Track referral activity and partnership performance through CRM systems
  • Represent the organization at networking events, trade associations, and business functions


Qualifications

  • 4+ years of channel sales, business development, or partnership management experience
  • Demonstrated success building partner programs or referral networks
  • Experience within financial services, accounting, banking, payroll, insurance, HR technology, or professional services
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proven ability to exceed goals and develop new business relationships
  • CRM experience required


Compensation

  • Base Salary: $65,000 – $85,000
  • Commission and performance incentives
  • OTE: $100,000 – $120,000

Required Location:

  • Frisco, TX (Hybrid required)
  • Must be able to work onsite as needed and participate in local networking events

Required Industry/Domain:

  • Financial services / advisory
  • Banking, payroll, insurance, HR tech, or professional services
  • Small business ecosystem / SMB-focused partnership networks

Must-Have Experience:

  • 4+ years experience in channel sales, partnerships, business development, or referral-based sales roles
  • Experience negotiating partnership/referral agreements
  • Experience managing pipeline and performance tracking via CRM systems
  • Strong relationship-building and B2B sales experience

Strong Preferences:

  • Experience working with SMB-focused ecosystems (banks, payroll providers, insurance brokers, HR consultants, business advisors)
  • Prior experience in financial services or adjacent industries
  • Experience representing companies at networking events, associations, or industry conferences
  • Experience building partner onboarding, enablement, or training materials
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue or partnership growth targets

Deal Breakers:

  • No experience in partnerships, channel sales, or referral-based business development
  • No B2B relationship-building or external partner-facing experience
  • No CRM usage or pipeline management experience
  • No exposure to SMB or financial services ecosystem
  • Purely transactional sales experience without strategic partnership development

Score Cap Rules:

  • No channel / partnership / referral program experience: Maximum score 65
  • No SMB or small business ecosystem exposure: Maximum score 75
  • No financial services / banking / payroll / insurance / HR tech experience: Maximum score 80
  • No CRM pipeline management experience: Maximum score 75
  • No experience negotiating partnership agreements: Maximum score 70
  • No experience building or launching partner programs from scratch: Maximum score 75
  • Limited relationship-based B2B sales experience: Maximum score 80
