Overview
We’re partnering with a well-established, owner-led construction firm based in Eastern Kentucky to hire a Project Superintendent to lead on-site execution of ground-up commercial construction projects. This role is reporting directly to company leadership. You will own the jobsite, manage subcontractors effectively, and ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard of quality. Projects are primarily commercial builds with a strong focus on K-12 school construction, typically ranging from 8 months to 2 years in duration. Superintendents are assigned one project at a time to ensure full ownership and execution.
What You’ll Do
- Lead all on-site construction activities for ground-up commercial projects
- Own and manage the project schedule, ensuring milestones and deadlines are met
- Coordinate and supervise multiple subcontractors across trades
- Maintain clear, consistent communication with internal leadership, clients, and subs
- Ensure all work is completed in compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues, delays, and coordination challenges
- Oversee project closeout, punch list completion, and final inspections
- Drive a culture of accountability, quality, and jobsite professionalism

- Strong understanding of multiple trades (electrical-only backgrounds will not be a fit)
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors and jobsite operations end-to-end
- Track record of delivering projects on schedule
- Excellent communication and leadership skills — able to run a jobsite and represent the company well
- Experience with K-12 or large commercial building projects is strongly preferred
- Ability to work independently with minimal oversight and take full ownership of a project
Schedule & Work Environment

- 401(k) with match
- Company-paid life insurance ($20K)
