- Load and unload workpieces using fixtures, chucks, and workholding devices; verify proper seating and alignment
- Perform in-process inspection using precision hand tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) to verify part dimensions against print specifications
- Monitor tool wear and machine performance; alert machinist or lead when offsets, tool changes, or adjustments are needed
- Maintain machine cleanliness, coolant levels, and general machine readiness
- Document production quantities, cycle times, and any anomalies on production travelers
- Work within automated and lights-out machining cells as required, including robot-assisted part loading
- Follow all safety protocols, shop procedures, and ISO 9001 quality requirements
- Communicate proactively with machinists, leads, and quality staff regarding part quality or machine issues
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 1+ years of CNC machine operation experience in a precision machining environment
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and understand dimensional tolerances
- Comfortable with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges)
- Understanding of speeds, feeds, and tooling fundamentals
- Dependable, safety-conscious, and able to maintain attention to detail through production runs
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively with machinists and leads
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
