Recruiter Concierge is partnering with a Series A AI fintech company to identify an exceptional Strategy and Operations Lead.

Our client is building an AI-powered capital platform that underwrites, funds, and manages financing for consumer brands selling through major national retailers. The company is backed by significant institutional funding and operates with a lean team supported by a fleet of AI agents.

In plain terms, this person will serve as a hands-on operator and problem solver for the executive team. You will evaluate how the business currently operates, improve inefficient processes, automate manual workflows, and help design and launch new financial products.

You will work across operations, finance, product, structured credit, and external partnerships. This role requires someone who can analyze complex business problems, recommend a clear course of action, and then take ownership of executing it.

The ideal candidate is a high-performing investment banking, private credit, or private equity professional ready to become a startup operator. You should be comfortable working with numbers and financial products while also building processes, using AI and automation tools, and solving whichever high-priority challenges the business needs addressed.

What You Will Do:

  • Own critical operating workflows from day one.
  • Evaluate how the business currently operates and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Turn manual processes into efficient, automated workflows.
  • Work directly with the executive team across multiple areas of the business.
  • Contribute to the development and launch of new structured-credit products.
  • Help shape the company’s platform, product workflows, and AI agents.
  • Coordinate across operations, finance, product, and external partnerships.
  • Serve as a direct point of contact for founders and business partners.
  • Analyze complex information and translate it into clear recommendations and executable plans.
  • Build systems and processes that allow the company to scale without adding unnecessary complexity.
  • Take ownership of evolving priorities and high-impact problems in a fast-moving startup environment.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one year of full-time professional experience in investment banking, private credit, or private equity.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • A strong work ethic and high personal standards.
  • Clear and precise written and verbal communication.
  • The judgment and professionalism to communicate directly with founders and external partners.
  • The ability to take full ownership without waiting for a detailed playbook.
  • Familiarity with current AI and coding tools.
  • Comfort operating in an early-stage environment where priorities can change quickly.
  • Additional experience building operations, products, or processes within a high-growth startup environment is strongly valued.
  • Previous startup experience is helpful but not required.

Why This Role:

  • Work directly with the company’s executive leadership.
  • Gain unusual exposure and responsibility early in your career.
  • Transition from a rigorous financial environment into a hands-on startup operating role.
  • Contribute across operations, finance, product, structured credit, and company strategy.
  • Help build new AI-enabled financial products.
  • Solve complex, high-priority business problems with meaningful company-wide impact.
  • Shape a role that will grow alongside the company.
  • Receive a competitive base salary and meaningful early-stage equity.

Compensation & Benefits:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $110,000 to $200,000, based on experience and qualifications. The company also offers competitive equity.

This is a full-time, in-person position based in New York City. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
