About the Role:

As VP of Sales, you will build and lead our client's revenue engine. You will drive high-value deals, work closely with the founders, and help define how the company sells as it expands into multiple markets. This role is both hands-on and strategic: closing key deals while building and leading a high-performing sales team.

This is an intense, high-ownership role with the opportunity to shape the future of the go-to-market organization from the ground up. The expectation is to push for excellence, raise the bar, and build a world-class sales function.


What You'll Own:

  • Own the full sales motion from early discovery through signed contract
  • Lead complex sales cycles with CFOs, finance leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • Hire, coach, and manage a high-performing sales team
  • Build a culture of accountability, execution, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with founders, marketing, and product to refine messaging and positioning
  • Design and implement the sales playbook, forecasting process, and operating cadence
  • Build and scale outbound sales motions alongside a strong inbound pipeline
  • Help establish the foundation for long-term revenue growth


Requirements:

Must Have:

  • Exceptional work ethic, ownership mentality, and high agency
  • 8+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales
  • Proven experience leading and developing high-performing sales teams
  • Experience selling ERP, accounting, finance, or adjacent enterprise software solutions
  • Track record of selling to CFOs, finance leaders, and executive stakeholders
  • Strong operational mindset with experience building sales processes, forecasting, and structure
  • Hands-on player-coach capable of closing strategic deals while developing talent
  • Prior 0-to-1 startup experience building teams and revenue functions from the ground up
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue from single-digit ARR to $15M-$25M+ ARR
  • Mid-market sales expertise with experience navigating complex buying committees
  • Based in NYC or within commuting distance and excited to work in-office five days per week

Nice to Have:

  • CPA designation or accounting/audit background
  • Experience at a fintech or finance-focused software company
  • Experience selling into the Office of the CFO
  • Experience evolving a sales motion from predominantly inbound to a scalable outbound engine
  • Background working in fast-growing venture-backed startups


Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base Salary: $250,000 - $350,000
  • Equity: $85,000 - $115,000
  • OTE: $400,000 - $500,000
  • PTO: 15 days + 12 public holidays
