About Our Client:

Our client is a leading platform for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), helping brands gain visibility within AI search surfaces such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Claude.

The company is YC W25, working with Coinbase, SoFi, and Twilio, and backed by the creator of Google Image Search and angels from DeepMind, Anthropic, and OpenAI. Our client treats distribution like an engineering problem: systems, experiments, and compounding loops.


About the Role:

Our client is hiring a Founding Growth Marketer to build the engine that takes the company from early revenue to $10M+ ARR. You’ll work directly with the CEO, owning the full growth function end to end—not a slice of it.

The three pillars are organic growth, events, and partnerships, and you’ll decide how to sequence and scale them. This role skews technical: the bar is not a traditional marketer who runs a blog—it’s someone who builds systems, ships experiments, and uses AI tools daily to compound output.


What You’ll Own:

  • Design and run growth experiments across channels, with clear hypotheses, measurement, and reporting
  • Build and scale the organic growth motion end to end
  • Stand up the events function—strategy, execution, and attribution
  • Architect and land growth partnerships that compound over time
  • Own the marketing-to-sales-to-CSM handoff, eliminating pipeline friction
  • Set up and run tooling, automations, and analytics infrastructure behind the growth engine
  • Serve as a power user of the platform and provide continuous product feedback to the product team


Requirements:

Must-Have:

  • Deep, daily fluency with AI tools—specifically Claude or Claude Code. You will be evaluated live on how you actually use them, not on what you claim.
  • A shipped, end-to-end project built in Claude Code or a similar environment that you can walk through and demo.
  • High agency—ownership of outcomes and entire problem spaces, not just tasks. You move fast and ship without waiting for permission.
  • Technical growth mindset—you think in systems, loops, and compounding, not one-off campaigns or static playbooks.
  • Based in San Francisco and willing to work in-person five days a week.


Nice-to-Haves:

  • CS background, technical coursework, or a track record of shipping technical side projects
  • Prior experience building growth, events, or partnerships from zero in a seed to Series B startup environment
  • Strong user of Clay, with the understanding that the role extends far beyond building Clay tables
  • Comfortable picking up new platforms and tooling from scratch, with the ability to ramp quickly in steep learning curves

Compensation:

 $100000 - $220,000 / per year plus equity, 0.1-0.4%
