About Our Client:

Our Client is an AI-native consumer insurance broker on a mission to rewire a trillion-dollar industry that still runs on phone calls, fax machines, and legacy carrier systems. Their platform uses AI agents to quote, bind, and service policies autonomously, saving the average household hundreds of dollars while delivering better protection at the moments that matter most.

Our Client works with 40 of the largest US insurance carriers, is prepping to go live across all 50 states, and is actively launching life insurance as a new product line.

The company is backed by top-tier funds and angels, including co-founders of Indeed, Wave, and Octopus, early team members from Google and Meta, and board members from Pinterest, Coinbase, and TTD. Their team is comprised of founding engineers with elite technical backgrounds, including published research and top accelerator programs, as well as a Director of Sales recruited from one of the top three digital insurance brokers in the country, who is bringing their top sales talent along.

About the Role:

The ideal candidate will have 0–3 years of experience. Exceptional recent graduates are encouraged to apply, as are early-career professionals from consulting, finance, operations, strategy, startups, or other highly analytical and fast-paced environments. What matters most is not years of experience, but intellectual curiosity, ownership, strong problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated ability to get things done.

  • This is a high-leverage generalist role working directly alongside the CEO. As the Founder's Associate, you'll own whatever is most critical to the business at any given moment—whether that's fundraising, operations, GTM strategy, analytics, partnerships, recruiting, or product initiatives. The scope is intentionally broad, fast-moving, and constantly evolving.

  • Think of this role as an extension of the founder. You'll take ownership of high-priority, cross-functional projects, helping absorb critical work so the CEO can focus on the company's most important decisions and strategic priorities.

  • Success in this role requires exceptional curiosity, resourcefulness, and the ability to thrive in ambiguity. We're looking for a high-agency operator who can independently solve problems, drive initiatives from concept to execution, and adapt quickly as business needs change.

  • For the right person, this role offers unparalleled exposure to every aspect of building a company and a direct path toward a future Chief of Staff position.

  • The CEO will closely ramp you through the first few projects. From there, the expectation is that you build toward high agency quickly: own a project, solve it yourself first, then systematize, automate, or hand it off to new hires. If you need to be told exactly what to do, this role is not for you. If you thrive on a blank canvas and genuine ownership, this is one of the best seats in New York right now.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support fundraising efforts end-to-end, including investor research, pitch deck development, data room management, and follow-up coordination.
  • Lead operational initiatives from concept through execution, including vendor evaluations, hiring process development, and internal process optimization.
  • Analyze business data to generate actionable insights across lead conversion, unit economics, and partner performance.
  • Support go-to-market initiatives through lead generation, strategic partnerships, and relationship management.
  • Draft investor communications, internal documentation, presentations, and external correspondence with minimal oversight.
  • Build and execute early-stage initiatives, then create systems and automations to scale them effectively.
  • Tackle the highest-priority business challenges as they emerge.

Requirements:

Must Have:

  • 1–3 years of experience at a top-tier consulting firm, investment bank, or comparable high-performance environment; exceptional new graduates will also be considered.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to build financial models, work comfortably in spreadsheets, and derive insights from complex data.
  • Outstanding written communication skills with experience creating polished business documents and executive-level communications.
  • High degree of ownership and initiative; able to independently solve problems and drive projects forward.
  • Exceptional integrity and judgment, as this role serves as a direct extension of the CEO.
  • Based in New York City or genuinely committed to relocating for an in-person role.

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience at a startup, fintech, or Insurtech company.
  • Familiarity with insurance, financial services, or AI-powered products.
  • Experience managing cross-functional initiatives or external partnerships.
  • Exposure to financial modeling, operational planning, and business analysis.

Compensation:

$130,000-$180,00 + 0.1%-0.3%
