Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist, Technical
Rochester Hills, MI | Full-Time | Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist to own full life cycle recruiting for our technical and engineering roles. This is the seat people come to when a position is hard to fill. You will partner directly with hiring managers across the business, build the sourcing strategy, and see candidates through from first outreach to start date.
We are growing and still building, so this role suits someone who is comfortable with shifting priorities and does not need to be told what to do next.
What You'll Do
- Run full life cycle recruiting on technical and engineering requisitions, from intake through offer and pre-boarding
- Source and screen candidates, conduct preliminary phone interviews, and present qualified shortlists to hiring managers
- Lead intake and strategy sessions with hiring managers to define responsibilities, required skills, and education, then keep the process moving so hires land on time
- Build outbound sourcing campaigns using LinkedIn, boolean search, resume databases, CRMs, job boards, and your own network to reach passive technical candidates
- Pull and compile recruiting metrics, and use market and hiring data to make recommendations to leadership
- Identify gaps in the recruiting process and drive improvements without waiting to be asked
- Ensure hiring practices comply with federal, state, and local labor laws
- Support diversity and inclusion efforts and lead assorted HR and talent attraction projects
- Partner with HR Business Partners and onsite hiring managers across multiple functions
What We're Looking For
- Ten years of full life cycle recruiting experience preferred, including at least five years in high volume operational hiring such as manufacturing or automation
- Engineering or technical recruiting experience
- Proven ability to manage 30 or more open requisitions at one time
- Hands-on experience with applicant tracking systems, CRMs, resume databases, LinkedIn, and boolean search
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws as they apply to hiring
- Strong Excel skills and comfort working with recruiting metrics and reporting
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Able to work independently, handle ambiguity, and adjust as priorities change
