Opportunity to join a growing residential real estate leader with a true career runway. The Senior Accountant will be exposed to senior executives, property management, and investors, will own the financials for several large properties, and will be part of a cohesive finance team tasked with providing insightful financial results used by senior management to drive the business and investment decisions.

What you will do:

  • Own the preparation of property financial statement packages, including management reporting, variance analysis and proactive financial guidance to Property Management.
  • Assist with advanced level accounting and reporting requirements and higher level complex financial analysis.
  • Work with property managers on preparing budgets and forecasts.
  • Proactively identify KPI's and trends, alerting management and providing guidance.
  • Prepare models and proforma financials for potential real estate investments and acquisitions.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly coded to proper GL accounts and perform account reconciliations.

Skills/Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree and 4-5 years of combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Experience from the Real Estate industry.
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, prepare budgets and forecasts, and financial models.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written to as the finance business partner to property managers and executive team.
  • A proactive leader with the ability to think analytically and strategically.
  • Strong Excel skills, experience with Yardi, Entrata, AppFolio or MRI.
