We are looking for a Data Scientist to support supply chain and procurement teams by developing practical, decision‑ready analytics and predictive tools. The role focuses on product cost modelling, cost controls, and cost‑reduction insights, with opportunities to expand into broader procurement analytics over time.
In this role, you will:
Build analytical and predictive models to support product cost roadmaps and cost‑forecasting.
Develop monitoring tools to identify cost variances, risks, and emerging cost pressures.
Analyze data to uncover and quantify product cost‑reduction opportunities.
Explain cost drivers using internal data, external market inputs, supplier dynamics, and broader economic factors.
Work with diverse, imperfect datasets, applying pragmatic assumptions and transparent methodologies.
Conduct scenario and sensitivity analyses to support sourcing, negotiations, and planning.
Clearly communicate model assumptions, limitations, and confidence levels.
Collaborate closely with procurement stakeholders to ensure analytics support real decision‑making.
Contribute to reusable models, data assets, and analytics standards within the supply chain data function.
Strong data science capability, including statistical analysis and predictive modelling.
Experience building costing, financial, or commercial models (ideally in supply chain or procurement).
Advanced skills in data preparation, modelling, and model explainability.
Proficiency in Python and SQL; familiarity with Snowflake.
Ability to work effectively with incomplete or inconsistent datasets.
Experience integrating data from multiple sources with varying definitions and maturity.
Strong communication skills, especially in explaining assumptions, limitations, and analytical outputs.
Commercial awareness and a business‑focused approach to analytics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Dataiku.
Understanding of procurement contracts, pricing mechanisms, and cost structures.
Experience partnering with procurement or finance teams.
