Engineering professionals at CBS² contribute to projects that strengthen infrastructure, improve communities, and create long-term value for our clients. Depending on experience and area of interest, team members may support technical design, project delivery, client relationships, quality review, team development, or department leadership.


Our engineering teams work collaboratively across disciplines and offices, creating opportunities for employees to expand their technical knowledge, gain exposure to different project types, and grow into new areas of responsibility.


We encourage individuals with a variety of engineering backgrounds and experience levels to express interest. Relevant qualifications may include:

  • Education, training, or professional experience related to civil, structural, environmental, construction, transportation, traffic, municipal, water resources, or another applicable engineering discipline.
  • An interest in technical design, project management, client service, team leadership, or a combination of these areas.
  • Strong communication, organization, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Commitment to producing accurate, thoughtful, and high-quality work.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing project needs.
  • Applicable professional credentials, such as EIT certification or PE licensure, depending on the level and responsibilities of the opportunity.
  • Ability to travel locally or complete fieldwork when required by the position.


Depending on the opportunity, helpful experience may include:

  • Experience with transportation, traffic, municipal, structural, water, wastewater, construction, or related infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with Wisconsin or Minnesota agencies, municipalities, standards, and permitting processes.
  • Experience with applicable CAD, design, modeling, analysis, GIS, or project management programs.
  • Experience managing projects, budgets, schedules, clients, or multidisciplinary teams.
  • Interest in mentoring, business development, technical leadership, or department growth.
  • Experience working in a consulting engineering environment.
